Muricy Ramalho has been chosen to replace Paulo Autuori at club world champion Sao Paulo. He coached Internacional to second place in the Brazilian championship and to a berth in the Copa Libertadores. So, Muricy Ramalho, who resigned as Internacional's coach on December 12, was one of only two coaches to keep their jobs throughout the 2005 season. And the other was Fluminense's Abel Braga. Internacional finished three points behind Corinthians for the national title. In the meantime, Sao Paulo is one of the most accomplished teams in Brazilian soccer. It won three world titles, three Libertadores crowns, three Brazilian national championships and 22 state titles. Muricy Ramalho takes over for Autuori, who after leading Sao Paulo to the Club World Championship title in December last week accepted an offer to coach Japan's Kashima Antlers.
