In the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo has been arrested a Lebanese woman suspected of involvement in the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri. Rana Abdel Rahim Koleilat, 39 was sought by the international police agency Interpol. And she was arrested in the Sao Paolo at a hotel on Sunday afternoon by police acting on a tip. A police spokesman said that she was carrying a false passport. And also she tried to bribe the officers and offering them 200,000 reais (about $157,000) to let her leave the country. In Beirut on February 14, 2005 was killed Hariri by a car bomb. A special United Nations commission is investigating the case has pointed to Syrian involvement. Also police said that Koleilat was also wanted for bank fraud and falsifying documents.
