Brazilians like all the holidays but the greatest Christian holiday – Christmas – is one of the favorites. Of course, the celebrations will last at least for a week and then smoothly spill over to the New Year’s celebrations. At the weekends a traditional Culinary Market in Vila Madalena will be presented in the Vale. Vale music program includes Coral Paz e Amor de SP / Renascer Praise on 17th December, Raices de Chile / Grupo de Danзas Flamenca on 18th December and - Joгo Carlos Martins e Orquestra Bachiana on 22nd December. Christmas shopping is also one of the attractions these days. The discounts are really huge. The mayor of Sao Paulo with Santander Banespa have already raised a giant traditional Christmas tree in Ibirapuera Park. The tree will remain until the 6th January. Around The "Multimedia" fountain there will be a special festive program on the 25th December. The fountain is surrounded by 200 trees with lights. The historic center of the city is also illuminated.
